Help Desk Support – Remote Troubleshooting : 

SIC USA offers remote diagnostic service through our Help desk support. Our Help desk support team has in depth technical knowledge of inverter and has an expertise to provide technical support over the phone. Our Help desk team is member of Satcon product support group that has an expertise on both Satcon Gen-1 AE series inverter and Gen-2 PVS series who is ready to answer any technical question and help resolving technical issue.

Customer can dispatch their local electrician to site and SIC Help desk team helps diagnose the problem over the phone.  Help desk support team will guide electrician with simple step by step instructions over the phone in troubleshooting inverter fault.

With Help Desk support, customer can significantly reduce the downtime of the inverter and reduce the cost of the repair service. Tiered hourly support packages are available. Our staff will troubleshoot and work with you on your inverter issues to assist you to make the repair yourself or determine when an on-site technician is needed.

Onsite Services

SIC USA has team of dedicated factory trained field service engineers who is always ready to provide any onsite services on inverter.  Our team is equipped with all necessary tools, parts and Satcon’s proprietary software to service your inverter.  SIC USA offers following onsite services on inverter.

  • Control board firmware upgrade and calibration to optimize the reliability and performance of the inverter.

Application Engineering

Our application engineering team is ready assist customer any technical question related to inverter specification and controls. Certified Satcon Inverter Training 

SIC offers wide range of training on Satcon products.  Our trainers have combined more than 50 years of experience on Satcon product.  Having worked in Satcon’s R&D department for number of years, our team of trainers have in depth knowledge of solar inverter design and controls. Training can be customized to fit the needs of your Satcon inverter fleet.

SIC USA offers different training courses for the Satcon Family of PV Inverters ranging 30KW to 1.25MW including Equinox model.   Courses are divided in two categories; Level-1 & level-2.

Training Overview

Level One

Level-1 training is common to all models which provide a general understanding of the inverter and qualify the student to perform basic troubleshooting, Commissioning and preventative maintenance on the inverter.

 

This training is designed to provide a general understanding of Power Gate®Plus family of inverters and get familiar with Satcon’s products. After attending the training student will have basic understating of the PV generation system and will have general understanding of inverter control and   operational features.  Student will able to do basic troubleshooting, carry out preventative maintenance and commissioning.  
    The topic covered as follow…
  • Introduction to PV generation system.
  • Main functions of the inverter in PV generation system
  • Introduction to Satcon PowerGater®Plus family
  • General understanding of inverter design, operation and safety features.
  • Basic understanding of inverter electrical, mechanical and environmental specification.
  • Introduction to the Satcon option kits such zone monitoring, fuse combiner, SSC, CCM etc.
  • Review of single line drawing of inverter circuit..
  • Safely consideration while working on inverter.
  • Inverter controls and viewing parameter using HMI.
  • Basic fault troubleshooting
  • In-depth understanding of system commissioning and Preventative maintenance​

Level Two

Level-2 courses are model specific which are advanced courses that prepare students with in-depth knowledge of inverter circuits and functions of its components which enable students in troubleshooting of the inverter problems and performing repair work on inverter.

 

This training is designed to provide an advance understanding of Power Gate®Plus family of inverters covering from PVS-30 to PVS-375. This training provides student an in-depth knowledge of Satcon’s  PowerGate Plus inverter (PVS-30 – PVS-375).  After attending the training student will have excellent understating of the PV generation system and will gain comprehensive knowledge of inverter controls and operational features.  Student will gain extensive in class fault troubleshooting guideline and hand-on experience in troubleshooting inverter faults. The student will also gain the capability to perform commissioning and preventative maintenance.  The training delivery format is a combination of in- classroom instruction, combined with significant practical examples and “lab” exercises with energized inverters.
